On January 15 I was on the way to the airport, getting ready for my trip to California, because today was the day I go see my 2 children and my other relatives. I haven’t seen them in 2 years, i’ve been so busy with work and traveling I haven’t been able to call them or visit them, so im so excited about this trip. As I pulled up to the airport my phone started ringing and it was my sister Angelica, our names are similar, hers is Angelica and mine is Angela. I didn’t answer because I wanted to surprise them, I already knew where they live because Angelica already had told me the day before. I was thinking I was going to cry, I was also thinking that we was going to crash in the water, but my negative thoughts started to delete out of my head. So then the pilot got back on the speaker and told everyone that nobody was going to die and that he was going to have to land the plane in the water. And that’s exactly what he did and then they sent these little yellow boat looking things out to get people from out of the plane and I was one of the first people off and they took us back to the US Airline, so that mean I had to cancel my trip to California. I felt down the whole day and I was actually happy I was still alive, but I thought I was going to finally get to see my kids and family but I guess that was a failure. So I promised myself that I would drive next time instead of riding on a plane. As I was headed back home my sister called me again asking where i was and I told her everything that happened, detail by detail an she couldn’t believe me. I told her that I was going to drive instead of taking a plane and understood where I was coming from. So I told her I’ll see her and the kids next time and that i’ll call them everyday before bed

The location I chose for this assignment is my home county, San Diego. San Diego is known for having the best weather in the United States, which it can attribute to its geology. San Diego is also well known for consistent droughts; however, its current unique geography is a result of ancient rivers and seas depositing Cretaceous and Tertiary sedimentary rocks.
