Personal Narrative: My Trip To California

One mistake that I had made and learned from is when my dad and I went to California. When I went to California it was my first time on a plane, and missing school for something other than being sick. It was also my first time trying real seafood that was freshly caught. On the way back the view was amazing, we seen death valley, some type of cavern, and a lot of huge mountains. Even though it seems like fun I should have been at school taking the five tests that I missed in those two days. My first plane ride was interesting, I had never been in an airport so I was a little lost. We got there pretty early so we ended up getting lunch right after security. After we ate we boarded the plane, which was really weird, it was smaller but longer than I thought it would be. When everything was ready and we took off I got sucked to my seat and freaked out a little because I'm afraid of heights. After the plane was in the air and everything was good, I looked out the window and I was above the clouds, everything below looked so tiny. On the way back down my ears wouldn't pop so by the time we landed I could barely hear. The landing was quite fast, I would think we would come in slow but that was not the case. …show more content…
I had never been in a taxi before either so it was certainly an experience. Our Cab driver seemed to be a nascar driver and was flooring it the whole way. By the time we got to the peer we were not that hungry so we walked along and did a big circle around the hole peer. After walking we went to a seafood restaurant and spent around 84 dollars on a big plate of seafood plater. After stuffing ourselves full and eating about 90% of it we called a taxi to go back to the hotel. The next taxi driver was a little less crazy but was still racing through some back

Sacramento has always felt like home to me, I grew up about twenty miles away from Sacramento in a small town called Woodland. Having spent the majority of my life either in or right next to it, I feel like I have a lot to gain from a school quarter spent interning there. Although moving for a school quarter may be difficult, I have adapted well to Irvine while living independently so I believe I will be able to do the same in Sacramento. Most importantly, I hope this experience challenges me. Throughout my schooling, I have always taken a larger class load with challenging classes to fill this criterion, while maintaining a 4.00 GPA, and now that my major coursework is over I hope to gain some real-world experience that fills this role.…
