My children and I arrived at the Atlanta airport over an hour before our flight to New York. The flight was at 8:50 am and we checked our bags and proceeded to security. I was advised by the man tagging the bag the lines were long due to security. We stood in line and the line was not moving. After some time we made it to the gate just in time, but was turned away because the man at the deck said they had already filled out seats! “Why I Chose Southwest” As a homeschooled high school senior, I am unable to take Advanced Placement courses, which are college-level classes taken at a high school. Students earn college credits by taking an exam at the end of the year. To remedy this, I decided to register at Southwest Tennessee Community College for dual enrollment classes. I chose Southwest for a multitude of reasons: to complete my high school education, to provide challenging courses in preparation for college, and to grant me college credit. I opted to take Pre Calculus, English Composition, and Anatomy & Physiology this semester.…

My mother, brother and I arrive in the Atlantic City airport after a surprisingly short two hour flight. After dawdling away time by alternating between electronic games and magazine scavenger hunts, or sleeping (in my mother’s case), we were ready to see our timeshare hotel suite. Our destination a half hour away, we climbed into a traditional cab. Our driver provided unintended humor with his strong Jamaican accent. Mom made small talk, inquiring about the city: where to eat, what to do, etc.…

The United States of America is the symbol of democracy and freedom in the world, although it may not be thoroughly right in some cases. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington D.C., the government and the authorities of the United States push harsher security screening for migrants and even citizens. This security screening is even harder for people from Muslim majority countries. Even with the stronger security screening, many other terrorist attacks occurred after 9/11 in the United States. Also, many other attacks happened by local Americans who were mentally unstable.…
