I on the other hand had never even fathomed being homesick from the frozen tundra I called home. Ever since I was young I had always dreamed of leaving the nest to go off to college in one of the sunnier places I had eternally fantasized about. Growing up in constant cold weather and humidity gets pretty old after the first sixteen years, so I decided to go to the complete opposite side of the country to find a school that would fit my climate needs. It wasn’t until my third week of classes when I got to actually take a look around the downtown area of the city in which I now lived. My friend Chris, a Tucson local, had decided to take myself and a couple other East-Coasters to an event that happened in downtown every month called “Second Saturday,” he raved about the unique-ness of the event and could not have been more excited to share this so-called “Tucson Staple,” he had loved so much when he was growing up. Second Saturday is an event hosted in Tucson on the second Saturday of every month where local bands, artists, food trucks, and sellers can display their
