Personal Narrative: My Trip To Arizona

I was just going on a plane to Albuquerque, New Mexico and I didn’t know what laid ahead of me. My father, was part of the United Air Force so I had to move around a lot with him. I was just a shy fourteen-year-old with a wide nose, high cheekbones, and a thin and frail body. I never really thought about going into the army as it really never matched my shy and kind personality. The middle school that I went to in Afghanistan was a small hut where children sat down on the floor and learned together as a class. I always felt out of place because there was nobody like me. When I heard about the news that we were moving to New Mexico, I still wasn’t very thrilled. Albuquerque was a rundown place that was not economically developed. However, I had to listen because it was my dad’s job. I heard the “CRASH!” that the plane made when it landed. When my father and I left the airplane he told me, “Son, school starts tomorrow. You will be going to Albuquerque High School.” We then took a cab to our apartment and got ready for bed. …show more content…
It was pretty old and thick, but it got the job done. I looked up Albuquerque High School on my browser and read through the news. The only articles that showed up were about, “SECURITY INCREASES IN ALBERQUERQUE HIGH SCHOOL”. I thought to myself, “Security in High School?
