Personal Narrative: My Trip To A Parks Library

People, especially students, live in a fast paced life where everything needs to be done accurately before its due date. As a student, sometimes I feel a lot of pressure because I have too many things to do in a very short time. However, whenever I feel that this pressure is getting me, I go to my favorite place on campus; the place where I can think clearly and prioritize what I am willing to do. Although it can seem like a big, static, tall building from the outside, Parks library is always like a beehive from inside. Personally, I like to sit at the window of the north side of Parks library because it is quiet and it inspires me. The minute I walk in to the library, I feel like I entered another world, a world where everyone has a purpose. However, everyone is working in silence and only the language of knowledge is being spoken. Next, I walk my way up the stairs to the third floor and walk between the aisles. On my way to my favorite seat I think. I think about all these books and the people who wrote them; I think about the vast amount of information that they carry. This tells me that college is only a stage of our life that we have to go through and as we got in and off this bus we will ride the next. Right in my back, shelves and aisles that filled with books; they are stored and sorted like goods in a grocery store, yet there is a huge difference in the value of those shelves at the store and these at the library. In my opinion, a book is not just a stack of papers and some ink, but it is the knowledge that it contains, the people behind it and the authors devotion. All these factors and more cannot describe the value of a book, so what should we say about a whole
