My day started a bit off, I had an emergency that morning that made me run a bit late for clinical. This made me miss some important information such as, how nurses in NCBH hand over to the next shift, but aside that, I had a wonderful day working with nurse Mrs. Osei. Anyone who was brave enough to ask got my vehement no when asked if I thought that the college, subsequent medical school, and training would be too much school or that I would get bored. In 2015, my family went through a financial hardship that led me to the decision of finding a part time job. I was done with all my clerkships by December 2014 and I was fortunate to be hired as a clinical assistant for a psychiatry clinic where I had completed my very last clerkship. My employer agreed to give me a 20 hours/week schedule while I prepared for the Step 2 CK. My time at the clinic had positive and negative outcomes.
