So it all started when my best friend from my old school asked me if I wanted to go with him to this big trampoline place in St. Louis called Sky zone with his family. First we went there and we had a certain time to be there so we all went out to eat to Steak n Shake. Then we all ate and ready to go. We had to take off our shoes and socks and put on special orange grip on the bottom socks. The place was pretty big. There was a trampoline to jump in a foam pit. There was just running around and jumping. Then there was my favorite, dodge ball! It was so fun we could run up the wall and flip and hit someone. We were there for like 2 or 3 hours it was the best. When the time was up we all got ready. We were all very exhausted, but it was really

For over ten years my average day consisted of four main activities: school, homework, gymnastics, and sleep. While school breaks or holidays may have upset three of the four, competitive gymnastics was always a constant. Three hours a day five days a week with no off season left no room for apathy. During my years as a gymnast, I learned the lessons I am sure every athlete is taught— dedication, time management, and determination. However, gymnastics taught me two lessons that other athletes fail to learn thoroughly.…

Hi Ms. Pierce, Hope you had a wonderful break and a nice day, The word I would use to describe my break is deciphering because I got a break from dance and school. For example, I was able to sleep to try to avenge the early wakings during school days and early dance practices. In addition to that, I had nothing to be concerned about. Having a break from both school and dance gave me time to think about myself and what I wanted for my future; besides, I was able to unwind. The time I had was crucial to me because sometimes in the middle of all the activities in the year I have no time to think.…

Falling 176 feet was not something I had planned for this day. The wind sang in my ears; the roar of clashing metal rang in the air and people cheered. The endless pile of wood used to form a track shook violently as we ran over it, finally leaving the hill and forming a 76° angle with the ground…54 meters above comfort. Adrenaline raced through my veins faster than the coaster cart on the tracks; the whistle tone of the wind sang in harmony with the shrieks of fellow riders.…

“Runners on your mark…Set...Poww!” Those were the last sounds I heard during what could have been my last race of my sophomore year in collegiate Track and Field. It was a frisky, yet cool Saturday in April and after a strong performance in the previous indoor and outdoor season (4x100m and 400m), I was determined to continue and uphold my strong form on this day. There is a saying that things do not always turn out the way we hope, but I believe, there is always a positive lesson to be learned from every life event. I love sports.…
