This is my first year of high school, and so far I am enjoying this year more than any of my previous years in elementary school at Aviston Elementary. In the past years, I was a stressed out loner who was easily annoyed by everything and could not get long-term projects done without having a melt down at some point. However, in this year that has changed. I have made a few friends who have stayed with me for the entire year, learned to tolerate immature, childish actions, and have not felt completely overwhelmed to this date. This year and previous years both had their moments, but I would not change anything that happened because they both helped make me who I am now.…

If, hypothetically, some sort of cosmic storm created an EMP signal or something of the other that rendered all digital equipment on earth inoperable, I would spend my time reading, playing ball games with my friends, hiking, biking, relaxing on the beach and enjoying nature in general. Also, I can give my eyes a break! Since our lives are constantly immersed in technology and activities, we can use the downtime to do what we don’t typically do — activities that require no electronics. Those activities would suddenly pop into the spotlight, and in that time, as the time period grew longer and longer, the use of electronics would become more and more obsolete until the hypothetical storm stopped.…
