My third day of school nursing called for many parent phone calls that Brenda let me do. I feel it’s important to be able to explain a situation to a parent on the phone, as I will be doing this in the health care field, explaining a situation to a doctor. One case in particular, I called a mother and left a message. I introduced myself, and told her to call as back and then gave her the number to the school. I ended my messaging by telling her to have a great day. When I got off the phone, Brenda commented on how professional and nice my message was.
