Personal Narrative: My Taste For Gothic Writing

Like most of us, I love reading before I go to sleep. I have inherited the taste for gothic novels and creepy mystery tales from my grandfather, who was a passionate reader. He used to read me classic horror stories from Edgar Allan Poe, amongst other writers. One night, I was reading in bed as usual, when I heard a strange noise outside.
I got up and looked out of the window. I opened it and felt the breeze fingering my hair. It was a warm summer night. The moonlight shadow drew strange figures on the bedroom´s walls. The mysterious noise got louder and closer. I couldn’t see what was making it but it sounded as a mix of rustling leaves, bats ‘squeaks and weird human voices speaking a language which was completely unknown for me. say that
