The summer going into my junior year, I tried out for the summer baseball team. However, although I had never anticipated there would be a problem with my talent levels, considering I had played freshman and sophomore year, I did not make the roster. I was devastated. In the eight years of my baseball career, this was by far the lowest of lows. When faced with adversity and defeat many people decide to give up and quit. Thankfully, this was not my mindset. The devastation caused me to push and work harder, and prove to the coach that he had made a mistake. After being given a second chance by the coach and given a position on the summer ball team, I showed him that if I was not the most talented player, I would be the player with the best attitude
