When I was first growing up reading was my toughest obstacle. I remember one of the most embarrassing bits of news I had ever received was that I was two years behind my reading level. I was in third grade and was told that I was currently on a first grader's level of reading. One of the ways I overcame this challenge was by standing in the pantry and reading every cereal box, soup can, and wrapper I could find. Imagine holding a soup can in your small hand and trying to understand your mom telling you that it is 'Cambell's soup' not 'Camp Bell's soup'. I also had to read every road sign that passed by on the highway in the amount of time that we passed. I remember never being about to understand why Moblie, Alabama was pronounced "Moe-Bill". I still struggle with this problem, but now I have purchased a computer that will easily read passages to me aloud. This processor helps me to learn to read faster and pronounce difficult words
