Personal Narrative: My Story Of A Mom

Mom,
As I mentioned before I don’t know how to write this in a way that does you justice. It is a well-known fact that I’m not the best at expressing myself, but I will do my best. I wish you could fulling understand how much you mean to me. You made me in the obvious way of birth, however, you also made me spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. You have molded every aspect of who I am and personally I think you should be very proud!! You have taught me in so many ways.
I have learned from your example. Your unending faith, dedication, and love have taught me never to give up. Life dealt you a rough hand, but with your belief in God you managed to create something beautiful—me. In all seriousness watching and learning from your example has

You have been my teacher for most of my life. You have taught me at every stage in my life and often at every hour of my life. While the school work and grammar corrections aren’t always appreciated the life lessons are. I am so grateful you never gave up on me. You remained positive and patient. There are very few memories where I remember even a raised voice. This is something not many people are fortunate enough to say.
I have learned from your parenting. I couldn’t find a good work to describe this, but hopefully you get the idea. All the amazing games and vacations you made possible on our small budget is truly amazing. No other family has had such fun during camping trips, Jekyll Island adventures, socks off games, going mudding/creek stomping, and this is just naming a few.
You showed me how to be tough. Some parents baby their children and expect nothing from them. This might be nice at first, but as they grow it becomes more of a curse than a blessing. You expected me to work my hardest physically and mentally and never expected any more then you expected of yourself. I know you sometimes feel that this was a mistake. That you should have been easier on me, but I am honestly grateful you

To my Queen, my first best friend, the person who understands everything I say even if it doesn't come out how I wanted it, the one who knows exactly when I need a nap even before I know myself, the crust cutter off the best damn peanut butter and jelly sandwiches ever, but most importantly my mom aka birth giver! You've shown me what unconditional love is, and taught me the valuable lessons that no one could ever teach me. No matter how many steps I feel like I've taken backwards you're always right behind me to catch me when I fall. One day I hope that I can be half the parent you have been to me.…

To my Francheska, I couldn’t believe that I have been a mother for 5 years now. It seems that it was only yesterday when I first held you in my arms. I can still remember the time when I was clueless on how to make you stop from crying to making you fall asleep or how to manage taking a shower before you wake up and start crying all over again. But look at you now; you are growing to be a very pretty and intelligent kid. Mommy is so, so proud of your school achievements.…

Brady, The last few years have been like a zombie apocalypse to say the least. We've had many arguments where things have been said and feelings hurt. Never did we really sit down and discuss what happened or had a heartfelt apology. We just brushed it under a very large rug and moved on. Obviously that has not been working.…

Mom, I want to thank you for keeping me alive all these years. Other parents did not have to fight as hard as you to keep me alive. I am well aware of how much you have done for me, although most of the time I pretend I do not. Love, Tabitha…

The night is finally here; I remember being so enthusiastic I could barely sit. I remember shifting around as if I was a crime waiting to hear my sentence. I remember being so excited to hang out with you outside of school that my mom just wanted me to leave the house—that’s how annoying I was about what outfit I would wear and how I looked. I remember wearing my favorite pair of jeans with a normal white tee. “I could feel the weight of my necklace pressed up against my skin, not quite as heavy as the converse on my feet as I walked to open the door.”…

Since we’ve all taken our own paths in life and I’m now married with two children, I had to move to Los Angels to create a better future for my family.
