I wasn’t too worried at first about biology because I had advanced placement classes the previous year and received A’s in both of them. Unfortunately, Mrs. Perez’s teaching method was foreign to me and I struggled to comprehend. Instead of going fully in depth lecturing her students about the material using tools such as a PowerPoint or writing on the dry-erase board, she handed out thick packets and expected us to go online and search for the information ourselves. His teaching method was simple and easy to follow. He had notes on the board that the students could copy down with ease. Plus, the material that we covered such as: voting, citizens’ rights, and investing were information that can be used in anyone’s daily life as long as they applied it. He always took his time when teaching all his students and if we had a question, he would answer it, making sure we understood it clearly the second time around. He had a great attitude; Coach Taylor was a big ball of energy; he constantly moved around the classroom! No one felt lost or jaded while attending his class. All the students, past and present, always joked that he had a little too much coffee to drink before class started. I learned more about personal life skills than any other class could have taught
