It was the first day of my second year in Tomball ISD. I walked into my second period, Texas History, with a Mrs. Brough. At first glance, Mrs. Brough seemed to be a little too excited and the state of her desk with several coffee mugs seemed suspicious. It was in this unorganized classroom and with this giddy teacher that I found my love of history.
Mrs. Brough was a short and stout woman who never stopped smiling. You could tell she had a true passion for history when she spoke to us (her students). It was upon listening to her go on tangents about random historical facts that I absolutely fell head over heels in love with history.
My studies in my other subjects were sub-par at the time, nowhere near where they should have been.
