Personal Narrative-My Roller Coaster

It was my first time at Disney World and I wasn’t going to let a line stop me from riding every roller coaster I saw. We were in the line for the Expedition Everest ride in the animal kingdom park. The ride was themed around a yeti hidden out in Mount Everest, and the entire line took us through an old rocky cave that was a tour of history about the yeti. The underground chamber was gusty and dim, but my excitement and eagerness kept me distracted from my surroundings. After about an hour of standing in the line, we arrived at the gates. The carts were just ahead of us and I couldn’t wait. I stood in front of the gate with my hands held tight on the silver metal. …show more content…

The ride dropped, and I was screaming so loudly that I could only hear myself.…

It was the largest, most thrilling roller coaster yet to be found. I didn't believe it but knowing my best friend Prisa she was not gonna let me miss out on as she would always say, “once in a lifetime opportunities”. It was a hot, sunny day as the sun lit up the whole park. The blunt air had no wind or even a soft gentle breeze. It was just plain old humid and to add on to that, we were crowded with a solid 200 people in the line,…

There was no time for a break, we were off to the next one. By “one”, I mean roller coaster, but this wasn’t just any other roller coaster, this was the Dragster. The record breaking, rapid and towering Dragster which was located at the amusement park Cedar Point, in Ohio. I watched my friends walk briskly in front of me anticipating the next thrill. First Amusement Rides I was so scared I did not know what to expect when the bar came down locking me in. It was my very first time riding actual rides besides a ferris wheel and a merry go round and I was excited but also extremely nervous. Seven years ago, my friends and I went to an amusement park and like any other young child, I couldn’t wait to ride every single rollercoaster there was. I loved each one, irrespective of the number of loops it had or how fast it went. However, this changed when I got on one called the drop-tower. As the name suggests, it was a monstrous tower that carries riders up in a gondola to the top of the tower and then suddenly the gondola drops down. In seconds, it dropped me 100 feet down in the air, as I heard the echoes of a hundred-people screaming.…
