For as far back as I can remember, every other summer my family has taken a long journey to Southern California to visit relatives. Had we ever flown? Yes, but only when there were 2 children to worry about. Now that there are 8 of us, things would have gotten a little complicated. Instead, we took our old Yukon - and when I say old, I mean ancient. Our car is 15 years old. Maybe this is where the problem started. Riding in a car can be very difficult, especially when it’s full of people. I distinctly remember it was a Saturday at 2:00 in the morning. The roads were empty and the sky was foggy. It was one of the worst rides I’ve ever taken, because my younger brother made me sit in the back, where there was no room for my extremely long legs. All I could do was sit patiently and quietly. Although the road was tough, without a doubt I wouldn’t have wanted to experience that with anyone else. No matter how annoying siblings can be there with your best friends and will always be there. To be honest, although all the drama, I would go back to that day 1000 times, because now that I look back it was a hilarious and a one in a kind trip. I’m so thankful for such a wonderful family and the many siblings I have because they are very entertaining, and inspire me to do my best each day.
