Now we were no strangers to road trips having y taken trips to Montreal and Florida; already taken trips to Montreal and Florida; we had our car games, DVDs and music there to keep us occupied. We killed a lot of time talking about all the things we planned to do when we got to Alberta and all the people we had to visit. The land was very flat, mostly farming land with different types of wheat, corn and gorgeous flowers of all kinds of colours. We stopped a few times to take photos with the flowers, though we were all tired and groggy from the long car ride and so we wound up looking like death in the photos.
After a few hours, we noticed a more mountainous terrain passing us by and my dad laughed and yelled out,
“Look outside! We’re here!” his voice full of relief and excitement.
We drove around for a bit while my dad explained to my mom what to type into the very old GPS, we looked out the window to see the beauty that is Alberta badlands seemingly untouched by man's destruction. After a bit, we reached Drumheller and watched the road and the mountainous area roll by.
When my dad stopped the car, my brother stared at a near empty parking lot and than to my dad,
“Where are we?” he asked unblocking his seat belt,
