My Right to My Guns
According to our second amendment in the constitution, the citizens have the right to hold and bear arms. Gun control issue has been a significant issue in the last two years, and the matter has even been taken to the highest Court in the U.S. I do not think we need more gun control. The right to bear arms is in our second amendment. If you go look at different shootings, they generally are associated with criminal intent.
Legally owned guns are frequently stolen and used by criminals. So that means gun owners need to be more responsible with their guns and where they put their guns. If people wanted guns, they could get them no matter how much gun control you put on Americans or foreigners. Look at the mass shootings

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” It is prudent true to state that the issue of gun ownership is an old tradition of United States than the nation itself, which is fully protected by the Second Amendment of the Constitution. Therefore, it would be a clear infringement to the constitution if we shall have more gun control law in place. In the case of District of Columbia v. Heller, June 26, 2008, Justice Antonn Scalia opined that the Second Amendment protects and safeguards fully a person right to own and posses a firearm regardless whether he or she is connected with rendering service in a militia.…

When I was 14 years old, and a freshman in high school, I took a stance. This stance was controversial at the time, but is something that I believe in ever more strongly today. This stance was on gun control reform. I wrote a bill and presented it to the Minnesota State Legislature. I wrote this bill shortly after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings.…

My first reason is just because it is simply in the Constitution that Americans have the right to bear arms. Another one of those reasons are for personal protection.…

One of the most controversial Amendments today is the ‘Right to Bear Arms.’ As I get older, I see life a lot more differently and how the Amendments can either be used in our favor as Americans or hurt us. To be more clear, the ‘Right to Bear Arms’ is the second Amendment of the United States Constitution passed by Congress September 25, 1789. Ratified December 15, 1791, the first 10 amendments form the Bill of Right. It is a well regulated Militia; being necessary to the security of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.…

In my opinion, I think we need less gun control. I believe this because as written in the Second Amendment, “The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed,” is a right. Citizens should have the right to protect themselves from everyone. Another point is that restricting gun laws put innocent citizens at a disadvantage because no matter what there are ways around the system, meaning criminals would still find ways to access firearms putting other people at risk if they are unable protect themselves. Guns do not kill people, people kill people and in order to decrease the crime rate involving guns, changes need to occur within society.…

Gun control should not be legalized in the United States, because it is part of our constitution and it needs to be followed. According to Paul Gosar/Second Amendment and Gun Rights/1-11-16 he said “In the Federalist No. 46, James Madison explained that because American citizens were typically armed, the federal government would be unable to exert power beyond the powers enumerated in the Constitution”. pretty much James Madison explained that since guns were a way of life then it was meant to be in the constitution. When one rule is followed then the whole system is together. With citizens being armed then the citizens would be safe and protected.…

Studies have shown that raising the restrictions on gun ownership would not benefit be the society. According to the Crime Prevention Research Center website, the U.S does not even rank in the top ten in the world when it comes to mass shootings (2015). They define mass shootings “as four or more people killed in a public place, and not in the course of committing another crime” (CPRC,2015). I believe that in the US Constitution when it gives citizens the right to bear arms, it means that anyone of age, so anyone 18 and over can carry a gun. I do believe there should be gun control, but to an extent. I believe if you are 18 year or older and have no criminal record you should be able to carry a gun, but at the same time I think that if everyday citizens didn’t have these guns there would be less deaths per year. If you have a criminal record before the age of 18, I think there should be a certain amount of time, or if the crime was bad enough, you should lose the privilege to own a gun. I do think overall though, citizen should not be able to carry guns.…

The right to bear arms is our Second Amendment. What people need to understand is that these laws were made a very long time ago. This amendment was made so that we would have a chance to fight back at the government if they ever got too tyrannical. The thing is, our government could never be anything but a democracy. It is one of the things we are most known for and no one would stand for it if we became anything but.…
