Personal Narrative: My Return To School

Going back to school has crossed my mind many times within the past three years. I would always push myself to give it another try, but never went through with it. After seeing my friends accomplish their goals made me want to give it another try. I couldn't go any longer, not knowing where I would be in life if I didn't finish school. I often wondered where I would be right now if I would have never took that break from school. There were times when I felt like I was so far behind and I had got very discouraged in myself. There are many reasons as to why I wanted to finish school. I decided to return to school because I want to pursue a career in Medical Billing and Coding, secure my future, and to set an example for my son.

This will allow me to become financially stable. Meaning that I won't have to stress all the time about paying bills. I will have a peace of mind. It would also make me feel more independent. I know how stressful paying bills can be I have witnessed it from parents. And I should be able to meet all my needs with what I earn. I didn't realize having a plan was so important till now. I often wondered why my parents would preach to myself and siblings how important school was. I know the process is very time consuming, so I have to take each day at a …show more content…
I am very proud of myself by taking the initiative to do so. Especially choosing Antonelli College which was a great decision. I decided to choose the online route not because it would be easier but because it was more convenient for me due to work. I was a bit skeptical at first because it was something new. At first I didn’t think I would be able to keep up but I am currently in my 2ND term and everything is going wonderful. Everyone is so helpful and they go out there way to make sure I understand everything. I am very grateful to have this opportunity the support system I have behind me is wonderful. I know in the end it will all be worth it. Can't wait to see what the future has in store for
