From an interview that didn’t go too well, to an interview that helped me grow, my customer service professional informational interview took place at a Company that didn’t hire me a year prior. Clarence, I agree with you completely that older generations follow the motto “a hard day’s work for an honest day’s pay”. I work with a few older employees and they work 5x harder than some of the younger employees I work with. I also received a 35 on my EI test which I was not surprised of either. I have always been interested in learning and using new ideas. Throughout my life, I have invariably drawn from my life experiences, newly learned ideas and my continuing education to help problem-solve sensibly and realistically allowing me to move forward or help others reach their goals. Although I have no formal teaching experience, in my past work and involvement in organized sports, I have repeatedly used the Progressive philosophy. When dealing with 13 & 14 year olds many situations arise such as bullying, personality clashes or simply not understanding a drill or play. My past work experience has been at Sobeys, where I could experience a lot of women’s leadership. I worked from October 2013 to June 2015; I began working there since it opened to until I resigned, because I had to move to Kingston. In our Sobeys, there were more female department managers than male managers; my department manager was female as well. From my undergraduate career at Case Western Reserve University, where I studied Economics, I learned a lot about myself in an academic sense. The Dollar store I went to was the one located in Arlington Plaza on Greenville Blvd. The experience was very interesting because I usually go to the dollar store for birthday and holiday supplies only.
