“Wow, what a neat car. I wish I could have it,” I said flipping through a magazine. Ding! My light bulb just went off, I was going to draw my grandma a picture and it was going to be the best picture I ever drew. I couldn’t wait I had to start drawing. A minute later, I was already in my room and ready to draw. I was going to draw a red chevrolet car. I drew the car with my grandma walking out of the house and unlocking the car so she can go to work. A hour later, I was done. I had loved the picture because it looked just like the magazine’s car. I so proud of myself. My grandma was sleeping so I had to wait. I decided to draw flowers for the rest of my family and once I was done they looked as gorgeous as a beautiful flower shining in

On a beautiful clear morning of February the 19th, my mom picked me up from my class at the University of West Georgia, then we went to Waffle House to have a nice breakfast. We left from Waffle House, proceeding down Maple Street, and turned onto South Street and immediately onto Kenner Street. We then turned onto on the merging lane on South Park Street (US Hwy 27) heading south, we immediately halted to a full stop as vehicles moved from the middle lane into the merging lane in front of us, but at that time there were no vehicles behind us. As we waited to enter traffic, a car suddenly struck us from behind which caused the car to jerk violently forward, causing my mother’s chest to hit the steering wheel, and our heads and bodies to whip forward and then back.…

I was over there to do laundry, sometimes I would just go to the laundry mat, it went faster and wasn’t very far from the house. But I liked spending time with my mom and gramma, I missed them, even though we talked everyday on the phone.…

I will be going to analysis Leigh and her mom by Karla Klarin in 1994; I found this painting in the CSUN Art Galleries. There are many paintings in the CSUN Art Galleries, this painting attracts me the most. The size of the painting is 56 inches by 60 inches, this is a painting that is not small nor big. This painting was painted in 1994, so there doesn’t have a lot of high technology, like cell phone or iPad in those days, so it’s easier to analysis. Many authors have different ways of writing. Some write as soon as they think of an idea, but some spend time adding onto that idea in their minds, or drawing pictures. Bill Watterson , an author of the comic strip, “Calvin and Hobbes,” and Roald Dahl, author of “Lucky break,” are both very successful writers. Although they write different types of literature, their work habits are similar. Bill Watterson draws if he can’t think of a topic.…

    Norman Rockwell Utopiaism

The Utopianism of Norman Rockwell One of the criticism against Norman Rockwell is that the majority of his works he created are too neat, too sweet, and entirely too rural and old-fashioned. For example, in his one of his works entitled Time to Re-tire: Sleeping Sheriff (Image 4), an advertisement that Rockwell illustrated for Fisk Tire Company, we can see that Rockwell chose to use a sheriff to represent retirement. Though this is only an advertisement, and the artist was only trying to use the double meaning of the word “tire” and “re-tire”, the choice of using a sheriff to present this image indicates that the artist actually thinks the society that he is living in is safe enough that people do not need protections from the sheriff. On the…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…

PERSONAL ESSAY 7 p.m. February 3 2005. Just like my dream birthday, Brother bought a large birthday cake and Mom prepared homemade pizzas, but it was always Dad’s present that I anticipate the most. By the time I tore open the gift, I did not even know that it was a beginning of everything especially for my passion towards machine. It was a model of complex machine racecar set. I shoot an “excited” look to my father and smile, oblivious to the fact that this gift would change my life forever.…
