Personal Narrative: My Ready To Recover

At the beginning of the quarter I didn’t know nearly half of what I know now, I thought literacy was the ability to read, write, and have knowledge of writing. I never would have guessed literacy also means knowledge in a specific area. My writing skills have also came a long ways since the beginning of the quarter. I have written 5 papers including this one, and I’m sure the newest is better than the one before. Overall I am a way better writer now than I was at the beginning of the quarter. I have learned a lot this quarter, including the writing process. Before this quarter I wrote, corrected twice, and turned it in. I have rarely prewritten, or corrected a sufficient amount before. I used to think papers were litter work and super easy. I have realized over the quarter writing is like everything else, only as hard as you make it. To tell the truth I was even a little confused when writing the paper, and if I was confused I would think my readers were confused with me. Even if they weren’t as confused as me they most likely didn’t get a full understanding because I was attempting to describe myself using shapes! My “Ready to Recover” autobiographical essay taught me a lot about myself. “Ready to Recover” is about when I hurt my knee and had to miss football season. I knew I loved football, but last fall I tried to not think about it as much because when I did I would get mad, and then sad.
