I have competed within the club at all three levels, regional, state, and national. These years of being a chapter and region officer have helped me develop my leadership skills and public speaking skills, but to me, it was much more than that. I had created a family with an organization that I love and I also found what I wanted to do for a career in the future. FCCLA gave me an identity, a career path, and a middle room that would eventually become my lunchroom. All things considered, my FCCLA advisors, Ms. Goggin and Mrs. Goodpaster have guided me to a career path that involves many things that I love, FCS Education.
In the future, I am considering an undergraduate degree in FCS Education. My love for FCCLA and the curriculum that FCS involves has inspired my future in teaching. Looking back on my career in FCCLA, I realize how much I will miss being so involved in the club. FCCLA gave me many opportunities to travel the United States to meet other individuals that have the same interests as me and the opportunity to find my future in FCS

The hardest thing I’ve ever went through? Let me take you back to almost three years ago to a very cold Thursday morning in January. I was sitting in history class when suddenly something very strange happened; the announcement speakers came on. My classroom got completely silent; to the point where you could have heard a pin drop.…

Perhaps none of my activities has frustrated me more than FBLA because of how the main focus was on competitions, which were extremely expensive. Instead of quitting, I became an officer.
