Eventually, it was my turn and the kids didn’t seem to expect much from me, and one kid even said, “Good luck playing Mary had a Little Lamb!” When I started off, I noticed that my tempo was way too quick because I was nervous. Then as I saw the faces of the kids, they seemed very shocked and dumbfounded, and eventually, they all started to cheer for me. Once I had finished, it had really boosted my confidence for the recital. All I can say is that my recital went according to plan, and not only that I had received an award and trophy for third place out of thirty-two. I could tell from the faces of my parents that they were so proud of me. This was the first time in my life that I had attained a major dream, being able to play a piece in front of a crowd. There were some obstacles in order to attain my dream such as my lack of experience, losing hope, being made fun of, competition, and my small hands. I would metaphorically compare myself to a tiger, being both persistent and competitive. This persistence and competitiveness all started from piano recitals, recreational sports, activities, and also from golf
