On the 9th I woke up to a serious looking problem, my entire left hand side of my face had lost all feeling and was very droopy, also could not close my left eye.

When I was a child I always though about business. I wanted to know how things worked, how money worked. I started watching my grandfather write his invoices, deposit checks, talk to people as if he knew them but they had just met. I wondered how he did it, how he played his cards right and got people to hire him.…

Like most people who share the state of conciousness, I am prone to day dream. I often float away on the soft clouds of my fantasies, drifting high above reality in the vast blue sky. As a writer, these fanciful mental journeys sometimes lead me to imagine what my perfect writing environment would look like. I am not alone in this wistful contemplation; many other authors, painters, and musicians join me in exploring this mental path, each envisioning their own versions of the ideal creative escape. Some yearn for extravagant spaces, like a sprawling historical library, or a high tech office.…

My writing experience: I didn’t start to read until I was in first grade. Every week we would go to library to check-out two books and take a test on the books we read on a computer. Every day in English we read a short story to ourselves then we would play games dealing with the story to make it fun. To be honest I never really did a lot of writing in Elementary , Middle, or High school so I can’t pinpoint when I started writing. In essay writing I learned its always good to express yourself with your own opinion.…

My talent is creating, and my form of creating is writing. Writing is a thing I've been doing since I was in the seventh grade. I started writing then because of a troublesome past, both my mother and my father had left my two other siblings and I all alone, leaving us with our uncle. It was very hard for me to adjust, I was fatigued and emotionally hurt, I turned to writing. My love for writing grew into a bigger part of my life when I kept dream journals.…

My Writing Ritual Writing rituals differ from person to person and are rarely ever the same. Some may involve eating a certain food, being in a certain room of a house, or sitting in a certain chair. There may be an individual who can only write when tied upside-down from the ceiling. Nevertheless, the two following aspects of a common writing ritual are nearly essential for success in any type of writing.…

Each of us has their own writing style. Some work best with music in the background, and some work best in silence. Others like to organize their ideas, and others find that jotting all of their ideas down on paper is a better method of writing. For me, writing an essay is a time consuming process. First, I like to write one sentence at a time, and then go back and revise it.…

Everyone has a special gift that is unique to themselves; it can be kept a secret or shared with others. When it comes to writing, there are different aspects involved in creating a meaningful literacy piece: inspiration, revision, and creativity. On my free time, I enjoy writing poetry and reading a wide variety of poetry. However, I did not always enjoy writing, especially writing poetry, because I did not believe in my ability to be artistic with words. I came to realize that the reason I disliked writing was because I struggled with grammar and punctuation.…

More so in my past, reading and writing was a huge thing for me. During middle school and my first two years in high school, I was on a reading and writing rampage. Even though I had access to book and other resources before middle school, middle school was when I really started to entertain the idea of reading. I became a library media assistant in middle school and that opened up a whole new world to me. Initially, I became one because I was bored and needed something else to do besides go to school and back home.…
