My Personal Values by: Patrick Richmond A fundamental belief or practice about what is desirable, worthwhile, and important to an individual, is the definition of value. My own definition of value is someone or something that has a special meaning in your life you’ll never let go. I have many values in life, but I’m only going to share my top three. My number one value is church. Religion is very important to me. My second best is family. My third best value is education. As I had stated before, religion is very important to me. Going to church is something that I have always done. Both of my parents are ministers. At a young age, my mother gave my sister and I the opportunity to sing in front of a small congregation. We sung before my mother had preached. Going …show more content…
Education has been important to me since I started watching PBS Kids. I love to learn and explore things. Before I was in kindergarten, my sister and I would spend the summer at our grandmother’s house. My grandma would make us learn how to add, subtract, and spell. We would have a day to study them and before Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune appeared on the television, she would test us. I used to learn all of mine and study, because I didn’t want to get a whooping. Thanks to her disciplining, I am an honors student, and in middle school was the president of the National Junior Honors Society. I have been banned from answering questions in many classes in middle school. When I graduate from high school, I want to earn a PHd in dentistry. I would love to see her watch me walk across the stage with my diploma, as I step into a new life. These are my top three values in life. The things that I will never let go. In all of my values I can gain something continuously in life. I can gain a closer education with God, more love from family as it expands, and a better understanding and knowledge. My personal values are significant to me. I hope others feel the same way about
