My personal religious beliefs, is another way I tend to manage my stress. This is the one I rely on the most, whether it is by attending a youth or Sunday service this is where I sincerely find my peace. I will say a prayer daily or in that moment of stress and find the clear thinking I need to continue to work through it. The best way I can describe it is by picturing a boat in the ocean during a thunderstorm, the waves are strong and the wind is coming with a mighty force, then suddenly the waves calm and the storm passes. It is the same with my body, my muscles go from tense to relax, my thoughts become clear, and the knots in my stomach become undone.
