It was very early in the morning when I start hearing yelling almost screeching words that came from just outside the front door. My father rushed to the door knowing the if he was not there soon whoever was not outside would not hesitate to break down the door. As my father opened the door the Nazi officer did not hesitate to to welcome himself in. The officer talked of having us move somewhere else but wouldn't be more specific than that. He only gave us half an hour to get ready to leave and told us we were not aloud to bring jewelry or any personal items.…

I look over to my right through the window, and saw 3 deer eating quietly and peacefully. I tapped on my dad’s shoulder and pointed his eyes towards the deer. I then got up from my chair and grabbed my gun, getting prepared to shoot. Both my dad and myself have not shot anything this season, so this was probably the only opportunity I will get. I was just about to shoot, when my dad told me not to.…

When one door closes another door opens, or if you 're a part of my family it might be a window. It was a hot summer day when Nick and I locked ourselves out of the house. It would be several hours before our mother would be returning from work, and we didn 't dare call our dad and tell him that we locked ourselves out. That left us with two choices, sit outside and wait or find an alternative way in. Being a hot summer day we opted for the second option.…

    Essay On Deer Hunting

But when you are walking in the woods you want to try and act like a deer by how they walk also hunters can do this by walking in a erratic stop and go pattern, but simply most easiest way is to just go with the flow because you will never have the same hunt. Deer are mostly accustomed to hearing squirrels running through the leaves and limbs falling from trees, but if a hunter goes out and doesn’t spray any scent on him to cover him up a deer will smell you from miles away and won’t come to your stand. Deer live in the wood twenty four hours, seven days a week they know what sounds are normal to them and what sounds are not if a hunter makes just the slightest noise of something slamming against metal when you are climbing up a stand the deer will get curious around their territory. Another thing that all hunters should do is not let your guard down because the minute that you do the biggest buck of your life could walk right past you and you didn’t get the shot off, but if you don’t let your guard down you have to be calm and quiet because when you see the big buck your adrenaline will kick in and your heart will be racing so much but everything can happen so fast in a blink of an…

I know this because this is what I would assume today. Again, my childish hope panned out because less than five minutes later the same three deer were back. My dad, who was extremely shocked, told me to calm down and take a long breath, shooting during the exhale when I took the shot. The deer got within twenty yards again. I, being a little more patient this time, slowly aimed at the doe.…

In the fourteen years I have been on this earth, there have been many times I should have shown respect, but this one time rivals every other time by a long shot. This particular time I should have shown respect happened when I was younger. The consequences of this time had snapped me out of the little stage of disrespecting everyone. It was a crisp Autumn day in Dierks, Arkansas when my family and I were cleaning the house and the yard. My grandma had told me the consequences of not finishing, but I just thought she was telling me all that just to get me to clean.…
