Ethics are very important as they are an essential part of basic civilized society. My personal code of ethics dictates how I live my life, it shapes the way I see the world and the way I behave. My core values shape my attitude and behavior, they motivate and inspire me to be better.
The core values I follow are compassion, love, patience and prudence. Compassion is the emotion we feel in response to suffering. Love comes in many forms and is felt in many different states and attitudes. One may have love for life, for people, for animals, for beautiful things and so forth. Love can also be a virtue. I choose to use it as a virtue in this context. Love is “the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another”. (Merriam-Webster.com).
