When I am not watching forensics shows or doing school work, I spend the rest of my time drawing. My other major passion is in fine arts. I have been drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil. Ever since I was a young child, art has always been my passion. I had and still have a vivid imagination. So for me, art was my way of getting those ideas onto paper. I was never discouraged from dreaming of becoming an artist, my mom would buy all types of paints and coloring pencils, the amount of paper we owned could fill up the entire apartment. The doll - still eyeless, dirt smudged into the petticoat - lies dormant on my mantelpiece.…

My love for criminal justice started 17 years ago, when I was a young wife to an abusive husband. I found that the system implemented its laws of protection to help put the abuse to an end and keep my children and I safe, while going through legal processes. Due to the interaction of great people behind me, I gained love and respect for the criminal justice system and wanted to be able to help people the same way. While glancing through my brother’s old music library, I saw a song that had been played over a thousand times (not overstating). It was The Scientist by Coldplay. Subsequent to listening to it the first occasion when, I was astounded and soon asked why it was so, on the grounds that the melody for all intents and purposes had no impact on me. Though, it grew on me, making me feel more enamored by it each time I aurally perceived it. My interest likewise climbed.…

Painting is a very soothing hobby that I value tremendously. It has portrayed my growth as an artist and person over the years my art also helps me develop skills that I can apply in life. As a child, I always sketched and doodled because it was an enjoyable way to pass the time by manipulating lines and colors to my delectation. Often times I’d disregard the time and draw for hours until my mother would approach me and ask why I hadn’t eaten yet, where I would then show her what I had illustrated and watch the corners of her lip form into a smile.…

Next, one of the nurses gave me the task to shuffle through some clothes and chose what clothing was too worn out.…
