Personal Narrative: My Passion For Photography

Ever since I was a little kid, I always begged my parents to let me use their camera. Whether it was to take video or just a simple picture, I loved it. Being able to capture an image and keep it for a lifetime has always intrigued me. Over the years, I taught myself more and more about photography. Every little setting, every little detail matters. It's not as simple as just pointing it and pressing the button. You need to think about what image you want to capture, how you're going to capture it, what setting you're going to use, the light you need and more importantly, what the image says. I'm an active person, I love being outside and exploring new things and just being active. I took a break from the sports I played because of injuries, and that made me lazy. All I would do is sit on the couch, watch television and eat junk food. I had forgotten about my passion for photography. This is when I turned my life back around. …show more content…
I had been on crutches for eight months and quite frankly, it was getting old. I didn't want to put in the extra work for a faster recovery, which just led to more pain, which led to more time being lazy and using my knee as an excuse. I had enough. I picked back up my moms camera and I went to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. At the time, there were some sort of ice bergs or glaciers and the salt water was frozen over, which is a rare sight to see. I was stunned. I took my mom's camera and I just went where ever I felt like going. I took pictures of as many things as I could have.
