Personal Narrative: My Parents And Verbal Abuse

My parents divorced when I was 5 years old because of my father's alcohol addiction. She suffered verbal abuse and watched her marriage completely fall apart. When he left, my mom was barely able to support us and she reacted to other people less trustworthy than before. My father isolated himself a lot. He would stay upstairs in our home to avoid any interactions with family. He went through paranoia, weight loss, and he became distrustful. He barely remembered anything that he would do, which would cause him to do things like take 2 pills instead of one. He was drunk during holidays, family events, and also at work. the alcohol caused him to wreck 3 cars, receive 5 DWI's, and lose his job. He's been to jail twice and has spent more
