Owning My Own Restaurant Compared to Working at Taco Bell
When I first started working at Taco Bell I had imagined what it would be like to own my own restaurant. I knew that by working there I would gain a great deal of knowledge about the industry. Working at a company like Taco Bell offers a sense of security. It’s a large organization with over six thousand restaurants. As a cook, I feel proud to be associated with such an entity. I have enjoyed my job; however, I have been going through a lot of soul-searching recently as I discover this is not where I would want to be in the near future. When I first came to Taco Bell, I knew the job would be temporary and would just serve to give me an idea of what the restaurant industry was

Furthermore, I cannot quickly change the culture of my working place to suit what I consider to be ideal. Due to the large structure of management, my input is not typically included in the general running of the establishment. However, if I owned my own restaurant, I would be in position to create a work culture that I know would guarantee me success now and in future. One particular aspect that I will instill in my establishment is close customer interaction which would guide me to the best goods and services to …show more content…
Sometimes I get stressed out because of issues dealing with my fellow colleagues. The situation arises since I typically feel that some of them use time-consuming approaches to solving problems which in turn causes more work for other employees. Additionally some are unmotivated due to workplace differences, others have ethical issues and some do not share the same values. Owning my own restaurant will give me the golden chance of recruiting individuals who will be motivated to undertake their assigned tasks. I would hire people whom I know well and have a through recruitment procedure in place that would aid me in establishing a diverse work group that will achieve goals

I have always been interested in learning and using new ideas. Throughout my life, I have invariably drawn from my life experiences, newly learned ideas and my continuing education to help problem-solve sensibly and realistically allowing me to move forward or help others reach their goals. Although I have no formal teaching experience, in my past work and involvement in organized sports, I have repeatedly used the Progressive philosophy. When dealing with 13 & 14 year olds many situations arise such as bullying, personality clashes or simply not understanding a drill or play. I deal with these situations by asking questions to stimulate a discussion, allowing them to draw on past experiences; positive or negative, consequently allowing them to come up with a solution or grasp the knowledge they are seeking.…

The idea of being told that I had to work for the first time made me want to eat glass; but could it possibly have turned out for the better? In England, when you reach 10th grade you participate in a nationally accepted program called 'Work Experience'. After 2 weeks of tireless searching I landed a job at Ariya Capital; an experienced developer and investor in clean energy and infrastructure projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa. It was actually much more advanced than any job I ever thought of getting.…

In direct contrast, the environment at Chipotle is like nothing I’ve ever experienced, not even in a Christian school.…

Costco claims to have lower prices as well, and they usually carry few brand options for the same product. I went to Costco on Monday at 10:00 am, which is when they open.…

    1) Identify Challenges After reading the case of Oliver’s Market, I found out some issues that associated with this company internally and externally. Internal Issues: 1.Oliver’s market kept investing on its Cotati Store, but the landlord even didn’t want to talk to them, which means all of its two million investments may disappear if the landlord decides not to rent the place to them after the ten-year lease ended. That is a huge financial and location loss issue for Oliver’s Market. 2.Another issue is as a family owned company, the current owner had health issue that couldn’t allow them to work too much.
