It was one lozy morning that kinda turned great. Later it on it kinda got wores and worse throughout the night. It was christmas and my family and I were opening gifts. We were enjoying ourselves drinking eggnog and what not things were just feeling good to start off. Everything was going okay until my brother finally got home, then everything got all twisted.

As we were opening gifts all you seen were smiles and happy faces. Then my grandma walked in with an enormous bag of stuff. She got me a lot of stuff i asked for and more. But when my brother opened his stuff he was mad or some people would say, “ungrateful”. I actually found it funny that he didn't get nothing that he asked for so i giggled a little bit. Then he looked my way and said,” what’s so funny?” Then I responded like,” Your gifts are so stupid and whack you should just throw them in the trash.” He said,”I know you're not talking because you're stupid and your stuff is wack.” I hate it when people call me stupid it always irritated me. Then he kept talking and talking, even my sister told him to shut up. So after a while i had enough and I just charged at him.

Punching,Scratching, slamming, and bumping are the only words that can explain what happened next. We are fighting each other for a long time then, my sister tried to break it up but she even got hit herself. After going back and forth we bumped into the table, then we heard smack the ground. It was my mom’s favorite vase. We just stood there in shock no one said anything. The my sister said “ooooh y’all in trouble.”

Later after starring we heard our mom say,” What was that?!” Then she came down stairs and saw what happened, that how our christmas turned from fun to the worst christmas ever. Yelled and i mean she yelled at us so much my eardrums was turning into dust. Then she stopped and just said,” I’m ashamed in you to.” and just walked away. The we both said sorry then my sister thought of the best idea to make our mom happy

“The Jacket” Fictional Narrative Assessment Gary Soto’s “The Jacket” tells the story of a jacket that the author received when he was in 6th grade. The jacket his mother lovingly purchased for him was NOT the kind of jacket he had asked for, and in his eyes, brought him three years of bad luck. Rewrite Soto’s personal narrative as if his mother HAD bought him the neat jacket - “like bikers wear: black leather and silver studs with enougt belts to hold down a small town.” Tell your version from the day the author sees the jacket on his bedpost, to the end of day when he first wore the new jacket to school. I put on my clothes and rushed down stairs to find only one present under the tree. I looked at the name tag for who it was for, it was for me. I picked it up and shook it, I couldn’t hear anything.…

At a younger age, I would say I believed that I can only trust myself and my mother, this is because as a little kid my mom would always tell me that there are bad people in the world and that giving them any information about anything can be very harmful. But as I grew up and realized what was actually happening in my country I knew there were millions of others that were suffering against the “bad people” and we could only do something about it if the whole community came together to help. It was at that time when I was about 25, when I started to put some effort into trying to establish more just conditions within my country especially after the implication of extremely high food prices. This is when I started my first strike involving my…
