Personal Narrative: My Napolei Middle School

Today is July 8, 2016, my first day of 7th grade! Even though I will still be able to see all my friends from last year I wonder how much new friends and teachers I will meet. All I can hear is my friends yelling my name “ Nevaeh!” as I walk to 7th grade building and running towards me and hugging my tight like we haven’t seen each other in like 2 years even though it’s only been 2 weeks. So I was just sitting around talking to my friends, then I stand up to say hi to other friends and that’s when i bumped into this girl with nice, wavy, light brown hair, long legs, and freckles all over her face.

After the fact that I bumped into her we both apologized to each other and introduced ourselves. I told her my name was nevaeh and I am in red track. Then she replied by saying that her name was Maka and she is in yellow track, she asked me if I could help her find her classes because she was a new student to Kapolei Middle School. So I showed her around the campus and were all of her classes were at and we spent our recess together introducing her to some of my other yellow track friends. Once we heard the bell ring I told her that we would have different lunches so she would have to eat lunch with the other yellow trackers and that I would see her after school.

From now on i’m going to try and bump into as much people I don’t know so we can become friends I guess but hopefully they don’t get mad about it, or I could just introduce myself nicely to make it

From my personal experience, when I was in elementary school I remember my teacher would let us sit on yoga ball it always helped me concentrate and it helped me when I was really active because I could not move around, it will make me fall if I move around. I like the idea of standing desks because I prefer standing a lot but when I need to I could sit down on the tool, but I could still move my legs around and be somewhat active. So if one day you're feeling antsy you can just stand. Also I think if your tired it could help you stay awake. Mark Benden also states that sitting desk can cause kids to be obese, he also says that too much sitting is bad for your health.…

I was afraid to sharpen a pencil in second grade. My most vivid elementary school memories spring from instances when I was being reprimanded by an adult for doing something wrong. I did everything in my power to avoid those dreadful moments, but they still presented themselves on occasion. Even now I feel a pit in my stomach when I recall the way I felt during those times, regardless of the fact that almost all of them would easily roll off my back if they occurred today.…

For the first five years of elementary school, I attended the small school located at the back of our church’s property. Enrollment ranged from about 10-15 students in 1st through 8th grade. The last three years of my grade school experience were spent attending Lodi Seventh-day Adventist Elementary. This school went from kindergarten to 8th grade and fed into Lodi Academy, so in all, kindergarten through 12th grade! I came from a small, two-room school, and seeing as I was not very accustomed to being with such a large body of students, suddenly becoming immersed in a class with more students than that of my entire old school was definitely intriguing!…
