I do not like my name, although I should be grateful to have a not so common name. I wish I had common names like other people. I wish I would fit in. Maybe having a name like others would help me to fit in. A name like Abigail, Mia, or even Chloe. Names others wish to change, I wish to have. My name means independent. It is brave, it means self-sufficient. It is my dad’s mothers name. My grandmother. She was a strong woman. One with cancer. She was brave. She was independent. I am supposed to be like her.
