When riding in a car with the windows down I would pretend my hand was a plane in the wind and for those brief moments I was the captain of the plane.

My whole life I grew up in Olathe, Kansas in a medium size home with my older sister who is named Ashley and my mom and dad (Mallery and William). My dad is the one who introduced my life to aviation; since he was in the military I would see the huge aircraft and helicopters almost all the time. Being in this class I will give it my best shot and hope to pass with relative ease but not without putting in the work need for the grade. In the long run after this class, I hope to move on and start instructing students that are also wanting to become professional pilots. Once I reach my 1,000 hour mark, I want to move into in the airlines where the goal is to fly something bigger and faster than what you are flying now. Some lifetime goals of mine are to fly for delta, southwest, and American Airlines. Some aircraft that I dream of flying include the 787, 747, and the CS100 just to name a few.

Waking up everyday and knowing I could go fly anywhere made my childhood dream into reality. One day I will be as cool as those pilots I saw walking around when I was a kid. When I good into work everyday my office will have the best view at 37,000 above the

For two weeks, I stayed in Charleston, South Carolina. I didn’t know much about the place, except that I referred to it as an army town because that’s where my sister and her husband, who was in the military, stayed. I was reluctant to go, but Charleston had a lot to offer me; a new change of pace and some new scenery was much more satisfying than spending the two weeks stuck in Iowa doing the same old routine. The weather was mystical in Charleston.…

At this age you tend to start making good friends, all hang out in groups, and be less adventurous. My parents kept saying, “Find people who like the same things as you, and everything else will be easy”. The next week I did just that.…

From this I have been able see how some parts work and get to watch the engine and imagine how it is pushing the massive airplane forward. Then when landing being able to see the flaps and most of the wing separate mechanically to different locations in order to slow down and land properly amused me and I think seeing that just added to my passion for airplanes and aviation. This has made me desire to attend flight school eventually to learn all about the principles and physics of flight. From what I have researched I would most likely attend Mountain City Aviation because the staff are friendly and educated it is close to where I live and I have heard of some great success stories from their training. I love to travel and in the future I hope to travel to many places or do some sort of missions work in different areas of the world.…
