Everyone is impacted differently depending on events they went through, places they've gone and the people around them. I know I’ve gone through many things, been to many places and have known many people. Although I have many family members and friends who truly care for me the one person who has impacted me the most is my mom. If it weren’t for her I wouldn’t be the person I am today. She has taught me the good and the bad, to take responsibility and the greatest thing of all, to always follow God’s way.
As a teenager, I know I have done many bad choices in my life as well as some good choices. My mom, Susana Garcia, has always been on my side and supporting me no matter how poor my decisions are. I understand that I’m not perfect and sometimes I decide to do the wrong thing but my mom has always been there to guide me. She tells me if I do something wrong, I have stand up and take responsibility for what I’ve done. I can’t blame others for my mistakes especially if it was my fault. My mom is a person who takes responsibilities very seriously and doesn’t like to play around. Therefore, she has taught me to do the same with my work. She tells me there are going to be times in life where no one will help me with my problems so I have to accept the fact that I did something wrong, take responsibility and fix it. Other times I will have to apologize (if I end up hurting someone) and make mature actions to help the situation. I know I have to apply this to my everyday life especially since I’m a student who always tries her best and wants to

Her strong presence claimed her space, and anyone else's that she cared to. Being right was of utmost importance to her, and she made sure always to have the last word. Overbearing, and overprotective of me, her only child, she usually controlled every situation, regardless of how trivial.…

Growing up, I got the privilege of learning from my biggest heroes, my mom. One of the biggest and most important thing I learned from her is, I can accomplish my dreams or any desire by working really hard for it. While I was evolving into a young adult, I hardly got to see my mother due to her having multiple jobs. She would get up at 4am to go to work at a retail store, then in the afternoon she will run her personal hair salon, and aside from that she was also a leader at our local church.…

My mother and I did not share a typical mother/daughter relationship. There was a time when we would not even speak and years would pass before I would even see her again. However, I would always see her when I looked into the mirror, since I looked just like her. I would hear her laugh because our laughs were identical, and small details we shared would remind me of the relationship I was missing, the relationship I felt everyone took advantage of. During my senior year all hope of a possible reconciliation would be lost.…
