Personal Narrative: My Most Possible Career

Provide examples of your creative, artistic, or other noteworthy talents. I consider one of my best talents my ability to pick up on things quickly. When given a new task and instructions, I am able to complete that task quickly and to the best of my ability. An example of this would be my new job. I have never experienced banquets from a servers point of view. I was taught very quickly different tasks that needed to be completed before, during, and after the event. Within two or three events I was able to teach other new servers what needed to be done and I am able to work my shift without much guidance. Another example would be my experience with the lighting crew at my high school. I was quickly taught how to hang and set lights, make cues, run the light board, and call cues to whoever is operating the light board. I was able to learn about various teaching strategies and what it takes to become a wonderful teacher for students of all ages. I spent two class blocks each week working alongside a local teacher within their classroom in order to gain experience with children and teaching. Teaching Kindergarten allowed me to discover my love of working with children and my want for students to reach their full potential. My patience and understanding of the differences between children grew while working with my students. The most distinctive memory I have from that entire experience was watching two students go from not knowing the alphabet to being able to construct full sentences on their own. I personally worked with these two students on all their assignments and it made me so happy to see them grow with my guidance. That entire experience made me realize i wanted to better understand children through psychology and other social
