Decent Essays
I chose to interview my Mom Lynn Miller because I would like to know what my Mom’s toughest time in her life was. It would let me know more about her. My Mom’s biggest challenge was raising me and my brother and know that I’m raising them well. She felt like sometimes like giving up but she did not. She wants to make our lives the best way possible and hopes that she’s raising us the right way. A tough time during her challenge is when my brother and I were babies, we couldn’t talk when something was wrong and an easy time was when we were old enough to talk and understand. Today is still a challenge for her. This challenge still happens today and forever. Everyday is something new and different. I want you and your brother to learn how to

I was born in San Francisco to a single mother, and I have never known anything different. My mother provided an incredible life for me, for which I am eternally grateful. At the age of eleven my mother decided it would be financially best to relocate to Casper, Wyoming, where she would have the help of her family to raise me. Although the move was extremely difficult for both of seeing that we created friendships and bonds with people that we would no longer see as often, my mother has never made a decision she didn’t think was best for both of us. My mother always puts my well-being first which has given me my love of helping others.…

The person I decided to interview was my mom. Her name is Claudia Elizabeth Bravo Corona. She was born on October 11, 1983 and raised in a small town called Palma Grande in the state of Nayarit in Mexico. My mom never met her biological father and when my grandma married my mom’s stepdad, my mom decided to move in with her aunt. My mom’s aunt has a daughter that is a couple days younger than my mom so when they were younger (and even now) they got along really well.…

I chose to interview my mother, Hollie Heim. Her life started off by being born six weeks late on March 19th, 1975. As a child, her family was very poor and her father wasn’t around as a child. This was because he went to Davenport and got a good job to try to support the family, only being home on weekends. Although her family was not very stable, she played football, piano, and the clarinet.…

She has been through so much in her life and most people would have given up, but not my mom. She came out stronger and wiser each time she hit a bump in the road. What do you wish you knew at my age?…

My mother and I did not share a typical mother/daughter relationship. There was a time when we would not even speak and years would pass before I would even see her again. However, I would always see her when I looked into the mirror, since I looked just like her. I would hear her laugh because our laughs were identical, and small details we shared would remind me of the relationship I was missing, the relationship I felt everyone took advantage of. During my senior year all hope of a possible reconciliation would be lost.…

"You will remain in foster care until the age of 18 or until your mother can give up drugs." Those are the words that made me realize that my life had taken a change for the worse. I was nine years old when my siblings and I were placed into foster care. We had been to three different homes in the course of four days and somehow I knew this would be the deciding factor that would differentiate me from "normal ' kids with "normal" lives.…

February 16th 1998, 12:48 in the afternoon my mom always talks about that day with a laugh. What?s so significant about that day? Well that?s the day I was born. To this day my mom and I laugh about the crazy story she tells about me not being her kid. She always compares me to my older brother and how he came out extremely small, light skinned, and to top it all off, he had the most beautiful grey eyes anyone would ever see, and according to her I was the complete opposite, fat, dark brown and my eyes being the biggest and darkest you?d ever see.…

Growing up with a sick parent is one thing but having that parent taken away from you is another. My best friend’s dad had passed away when she was in the sixth grade. Death is final with no point of return and extremely painful for the ones left behind to grieve. This was especially true for me when I lost my mother. Losing her was one of the most difficulty experiences in my life because I was not prepared for her death. Looking back on the situation, there was nothing for which to prepare; she was only fifty-one years old. I knew her health was not the best; however, the diagnosed health problems were not what killed her.…

My mom’s side of the family has always been at constant war. The fighting between her parents stopped only when her father died, and from childhood she can distinctly remember tension and strife between her sisters and mother. Broken relationships that were never made solid continued into her adulthood and surfaced from time to time. In my short lifetime on this earth, I don’t think there was a period of time longer than a year where all three sisters and their mother all spoke to one another. Usually so-and-so cut off so-and-so because of bitter feelings and resentment that were born from the smallest of actions.…

IT IS MY MOTHER’S FAULT Literacy has been a huge part of my life. My mom always pushed the importance of reading and writing on my sister and me. My mother has always wanted us to have high goals in life so that we would not be victims to a society that does not want us to succeed. She required us to read a chapter of Psalms, a book in the Bible, every day ever since we started reading.
