Personal Narrative: My Loss Of Personal Power

When people think about taking back control of their lives, regaining their personal power etc. Most often think about it on a large scale, which usually feels overwhelming. After all if you are at a place in life where you feel a loss of control or the need to regain your personal power, your probably facing a situation that is really rough.
It could be the loss of a job or financial troubles in other ways, relationship troubles, serious health issues, problems with your children or other direct family members.

When I would find myself feeling like this, I would seek out help in form or books, articles, videos and such. Those almost always led me to sources that told me to meditate, pray, sage, think positive, quote affirmations and so

So this time I decided to do things that made me FEEL in control, made me FEEL my own personal power, anything that made me FEEL positive. I would not allow the fact that my circumstances hadn't changed to effect me.
I decided to go only on feeling good.
I cleaned my house, I shaved, I cooked on the BBQ grill, I took my dogs for a walk, I cleaned out my car, I unpacked a few more boxes, I cooked and did anything that I knew would turn out OK. It only took a hour or so and I felt lighter and less stressed. As I did each activity I felt more and more in control. I could feel my personal power returning. I decided to take 2 days off from my situation. I didn't open any bills, answer any phone calls that I knew were looking for money or had any type of negative news to tell me. I took my Grand kids fishing. I took them to a play ground and played with them. I did other activities that I enjoy and that makes me feel good. I never would had done things before when faced with a situation such as I am currently
