I moved myself out to South Bass Island in the middle of Lake Erie. For six months out of the year South Bass Island is a major tourist spot. I hadn’t intended to work there, I had gone to take time to myself to be able to write, but was quickly recruited. Those bartending skills I mentioned before? Yeah...they were useful. It was the ideal situation for me because I wanted to focus on the book I was writing. The book I’m currently still writing. Living on the island gave me the freedom to work and do what I truly love which is being able to write. Throughout my life I have always written stories, kept journals, and there was even an incident where my Mom caught me writing on a window because I didn’t have paper. Oops…
