One of the last things I did on this trip was visit a school for rescued girls between the ages of eight and sixteen; the Bride Rescue School Project. These girls had been rescued from their homes as they faced being sold for marriage in exchange for money. I spent an entire day sharing stories, meals, and laughs with these girls. They told me their stories and I told them mine. We understood each other and they tried to make me understand the reality of their world, a world where their fathers sold them off for money. On the drive back to our camp, I realized I wanted other people to also understand this
