Personal Narrative: My Life In Baylor University

As a child of a former football player of the Kansas State Wildcats, it was inarguable to wear purple to every game day versus Baylor. Although my father thought I would be desire to become a future wildcat one day, little did he know with every game the opposite was occurring. Each game at Baylor, I noticed a mass rush of yellow screaming students running across the field with an abundance of school spirit. As I would stare at the student section throughout the games, I became captured by the traditions, unity, and spirit displayed by all of the students and it immediately sparked a fire inside of me to attend Baylor University.
Dr. Pepper Hour, Baylor Line, and Dia Del Oso are just a few of the countless traditions that makes Baylor a school that would be a privilege to attend. Growing up in a rapidly growing small town, traditions have always been the roots that made my town closely knit together, regardless of the rapid expansion that was happening around us. Because of this, traditions are extremely important to me as they make it easy for me to become involved and be apart of something that has existed much longer than my generation. The mass amounts of tradition at Baylor have not only sparked my interest, but have now made Baylor a school I dream of attending. Baylor, well-known for their medical program, offers not only a unique experience, but also a personal experience due to the small, family atmosphere that is ever so prevalent throughout this university. As a result of this personal experience, I feel like Baylor offers a one of a kind experience that will prepare me for medical school and future success in my career that is incomparable to any other
