Personal Narrative: My Life Goals

Decisions I have never felt this good about a decision in my life so far. The decision is to take on life and get a degree in physical therapy or exercise science. With my current and future academic and extracurricular activities I am hoping it will help me with my goals of attending college and in my career. My life goal is to be a physical therapist. This realization commenced after my brother had one of his multiple surgeries from sports. Just seeing him in pain and trying to get back to his old self sparked this dream in me. Knowing people need help getting back to they were or even better, make me want to help. I like to help people when I can. This class will help me furthermore understand more of the body and how it works. I was in a class that is called sports medicine but got moved out of it, it was not my choice to get out. I plan to get back in after our Christmas brake. This class will also help me know the different injuries and how to treat them, and the other daily life accidents that my occur. My extra curricular activities are playing football and baseball. Football has been good to me that I have not yet had a serous injury thus far in my high school career. But if it does happen know I will be in good hands, and I will be able to see the physical therapy perspective from the patients point of view. Knowing that people getting injured and needing assistance helps drive me to becoming a physical therapist. Once football is over for me I will go volunteer at the local physical therapist office, when baseball starts up I will have to leave the office and go back to sports after school. I know I can achieve this goal of becoming a physical therapist or something that has to do with helping people with injuries.
