Personal Narrative: My Life For Kids In Foster Home

I work at the local Fareway here in Indianola and every Monday and Friday a couple from the COC comes and buys lots of food for kids in foster homes. It was a rainy Monday night around 6 p.m. and the couple came in to buy their groceries for the kids as usual. I was standing there bagging other people's groceries and taking them out for them. When I came back in, I had to bag all of the couples groceries for the kids in foster homes. There were 3 carts full of groceries that I had to bag up and take out to their truck. I finally finished bagging their groceries and proceeded to take the carts out to their vehicle as it was raining. Since there are so many groceries I had to put them in the bed of the truck, which has nothing protecting the groceries from the rain. …show more content…
I stopped what I was doing because I was in total shock and disbelief from what had just happened. The couple started laughing and said, “Thank you, God.” As I finished putting the groceries into the back of their truck I took the carts inside and took out another customer's cart. Once I was back outside with the other customers cart, they had pulled out of the Fareway parking lot. When their truck was out of my sight it started raining again. I got the chills running down my spine and I was still in total disbelief of what had happened in the past 10 minutes. I had always believed in God and known that he could do powerful things.
