My passions have developed around these traits and supplement my ambitions today.
My compassionate interactions, or concern for others misfortunes and suffering, comes from a place of understanding. As a young girl I had an idealized life where I went to private schools and had dreams of being a veterinarian. This will not always be the case though. As I have grown older my life became more realistic. I changed houses almost yearly, never really having a home. This sort of displacement has caused me to realize we all only have one true home, the Earth. My urge to save the environment and make the

Although it is possible activism is just simply in my blood as my mom and grandma both have participated in environmentally friendly practices and rallies. Since my 9th grade year my family and I have struggled financially but I feel as though this has helped more than hindered. Having the experience of being financially comfortable and then transitioning into being utterly underprivileged has given me a unique understanding of the world. Knowing there is always a light at the end of the tunnel gives me the motivation I need to push myself and others to greatness.

My alarm hadn’t gone off this morning and everyone was in such a glorious mood when I arrived to the all too familiar building (note the sarcasm). Several minutes into surgery after the use of both a saw and bone cutters, I could feel the sense of satisfaction in the room as the tail was successfully amputated from the six year old German shepherd. Observing the surgeon, pleased by how the surgery had gone suture the skin around where the highly infected tail used to be I was once again reassured that veterinary medicine is the course I wish to study. l believe that being a vet is a diverse, challenging yet rewarding career, as there is no other career in the field of medicine that requires you to be an optician, surgeon, dentist and internist all in one day.
