My Last Soccer Game

It was the morning of my last soccer game of the season. I still haven't made my first goal yet so I was determined to that day. As I got out of my car walked through the grass to get to my team and start stretching to prepare for our last game, the smell of wet grass hit me in the face. My soccer cleats began to get wet and sink into the wet muddy grass as I walked. " Hey! Good morning Navarro" My coach John said. He called me by my last name instead of my first name. " Good morning coach!" I said as I set my soccer bag down. " Alana let's go, it's time to stretch, " said Danielle, one of my teammates. I ran to where the rest of my team was, as I ran I could hear the sound of my soccer cleats sticking to the mud. I got into line, we stretched in two lines. " OKAY GUYS LETS DO THIS," said Taylor, she was the leader of our team because she was a very confident and bold person which my coach John liked. We started to stretch, we had a routine that we always did. Finally, it was time for the game to start.

The other teams player came for me, she was one of their really good players so I thought I would never be able to pass her. As she approached me I stopped and pulled the ball back as she tried to get it from me. Then I turned my back to her and push her out of the way with my body and turned around her. The sound of people screaming my name suddenly started. " WOOOOOO GO ALANA YESSSSSS!!!!!" I kept running towards the goal, in my head, I said to myself " This is my moment, I'm going to make this goal " I remember all the times I have failed trying to make a goal, the thoughts haunted my mind as I was running. The closer I got to the goal the more screaming and shouting I
